Help - Stock Tank Water Cleaner

Why is my Stock Tank Cleaner dispenser floating?

Sometimes an air bubble gets trapped in the refill packet. Turn the dispenser on its side and gently shake the air bubble loose. It should sink again. Additionally, you can place it under anything in your tank that will hold it down, or use a rock to weight it down if this continues to be a problem.

How long will it take before I will see results using the Stock Tank Cleaner?

Some people will see results in as little as 2 weeks. For most it's 4 to 6 weeks. Since this is an all-natural product, it takes time for the bacteria and enzymes to fully dispense into the water and begin to break down the excess nutrients that cause cloudy water.

Can I expect to see green organic material in my stock tank once I begin using Healthy Ponds?

It is very common to see a green organic bloom in your stock tank even after you've added one of our dispensers, as it typically takes 4-6 weeks for the bacteria to disperse throughout the water system and break down the excess nutrients in order for the water to become clearer. The water may have some algae, but it is much healthier for the horses, cattle or other livestock than untreated water. Just skim as much algae out of the tank as you can until the product can completely do its job.

What temperature does the water need to be?

The water temperature needs to be at least 50 degrees in order for the Stock Tank Water Cleaner to work.

The air temperature at night drops into the 40 here. Will this hurt or affect the performance of my Stock Tank Water Cleaners?

The bacteria in the Stock Tank Water Cleaner work best in temperatures between 50 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Nighttime temperatures below 50 degrees will not harm the bacteria. The temperature range given is simply where the product works most effectively.
